LPG Forklifts
Gas-powered forklift trucks: outdoor forklifts, sideloaders, etc.
Definition of "liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)"
LPG contains condensed gasses. If they are so strongly condensed that they can change their physical state into a liquid, they are called liquid gasses. LPG is technically applied for the transformation of liquid materials into aerosols. Another common use of LPG is its use as a foaming agent. In drive technology, LPG is used as an emission-free energy source.

Areas where LPG forklifts are used
Until the introduction of modern lithium-ion batteries, electric forklifts have been restricted in their capacity. Electric forklifts are inefficient after crossing their limit for carrying capacity, speed and operating time. Alternative forklifts, those operated by petrol or diesel, have a large disadvantage because they could hardly be used in enclosed rooms. Their emissions (soot, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide) meant that the operation with a diesel or petrol operated forklift in enclosed spaces was too dangerous. Carbon monoxide can bind itself to the haemoglobin in human blood 300 times more than oxygen can. TOYOTA Treibgas-Gabelstapler im Einsatz Therefore, the poisoning of carbon monoxide can happen very quickly and often results in death. LPG Forklifts were developed partly as a result of this discovery. This type of forklift has a normal combustion engine, but do not result in any dangerous emissions.
Types of LPG forklifts
In terms of operation, LPG forklifts are almost exactly the same as conventional forklifts. They are powered by liquid gas, which is mainly conventional natural gas or autogas. The fuel is carried by an easily replaceable compressed gas cylinder. A large sector has formed for the production of these gas cylinders, in order to reliably be able to supply any liquid gas forklift. There are no limits in terms of the dimensions and power of LPG Forklifts. They are available in all sizes and constructions. When ordering them new, many companies also provide a choice for various operations.
Working with a LPG Forklifts
Due to efficiency reasons, LPG Forklifts are only commonly used when larger forklifts are required. Therefore, a forklift operating license is required to work with these machines. These forklift licenses can be obtained at many accredited education facilities and required the completion of a multi-day training course. The changing of gas bottles should be done under supervision. When using LPG Forklifts it is necessary to handle them carefully, have basic technical knowledge and have respect for the potential of the machine.
Suppliers of LPG Forklifts
LPG Forklifts have established themselves in the market. They contain advanced technology and there are a lot of high quality machines available. The most well-known suppliers of LPG Forklifts are LINDE, CLARK, KOMATSU, STILL, JUNGHEINRICH, RUDOLF MAXEIN and STEINBOCK.
