A
veneer splicing machine is used for the gluing together of single veneer sheets. A glue thread is applied here using a heated thread guide in a zigzag or wave form on a veneer sheet. The glue thread is later polished off or pressed into the veneer. The
veneer splicing machine ensures tight joints, strong bond and a high resistance to ripping. Therefore, also very wavy veneer can be processed. Several versions of this machine can also undertake double-sided gluing and trimming. Using this method, panels glued longitudinally with the glue thread can be strengthened on the narrow edges and trimmed.

The pre-determined veneer dimensions are set into adjustable spindles. A brake motor regulates the continuous operating speed. Smaller machines are specialised in improving damaged veneer sheets. The damaged areas are punched to evenly fit the veneer sheet again.
Other machines are used to lengthen the veneers to a fixed length or veneer roll. An interlocking joint is then stamped on the front and the individual veneers can be connected and glued together. Cable cutters are then used to cut the veneer lengths and make veneer rolls using a winding station.
